Hello and welcome to My Healing Therapy:

My name is Shukri, which means thank you in Arabic. Thank you for choosing to embark on this journey with me. Deciding to start therapy can be very intimidating and it can make people feel very vulnerable. It may seem very awkward to sit with a stranger and share your life and struggles. I myself felt the same way when I decided to commit to seeing a Therapist. We are seeing an increase in poor mental health and isolation due to the rapid changes we are experiencing and this is what pushed me into a different career path, and I think access to mental health is a human right. My Healing Practice offers virtual therapy through Telehealth, which makes access to mental health care easier for people who do not have direct access to therapy. If you have access to the internet, you can log in to attend your sessions. The Client Portal also allows you to choose your appointments, which makes it easier to attend your sessions.

I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectic Behavioural Therapy, and other forms of therapy.
